Thursday saw the last of Miss Dainter’s outdoor club for this term. The children have loved all the activities they’ve had a chance to try such as: Constructing shelters and making musical instruments and god,s eyes. They now know how to be safe outside and how to correctly use tools in a sensible manner. They have played games like 1,2,3, where are you.? and on the last session, they built a fire, toasted marshmallows and drank hot chocolate. So if you fancy being a bit of a Bear Grylls, why not apply to come along next term?

Making burglar alarms
Year 5 have finished off their topic of Electricity with a visit from Mr Evans, and his ‘home-made’ burglar alarm…they were very impressed! He told them how he constructed it and all about the resources he’d used and then the children had a go at making one themselves.
It was fabulous to see them applying all their skills and knowledge to produce a working burglar alarm… the classroom is fully wired up now in case of intruders!
Well done Year 5… there’s just Mrs Croft’s headache to get rid of now! ?
