This week year 5 were visited by ‘Mr Wolf’ from their novel – Wolves in the Walls. They posed as newspaper reporters and questioned the furry friend on why he had caused so much trouble in Lucy’s house! Turns out, it wasn’t Mr Wolf causing all the trouble after all!

Being environmentally friendly
Year 5 have been looking into the importance of being environmentally friendly in order to preserve our precious planet. They are extremely knowledgable about how effective recycling and reusing materials would be. They brought in old rubbish from home to show just how much we throw away and don’t recycle, and they made these fabulous collages…
Take a look!
Spectrum of light
The year 5 children continued their science topic of light, earth and space today by using spectroscopes to study the spectrum of light. They worked together to use various light sources that showed them the range of colours included in a ray of light. Next week, The class will measure the light in the classroom and outside.
Earth, space and light
Year 5 Kestrels children used their knowledge of the planets and working in teams, constructed a replica of the solar system.
Our school councillors!
Year 5 Kestrels children gave their statements as to why they should be school councillors, and the rest of the class voted for who they thought would be best suited to the role. Both Niah and Lexi are worthy candidates and I am sure will do a fabulous job!
