Art – tints tones and shades.
During our art lesson this week, year 5 experimented with tints, tones and shades and how different amounts of black, white, and grey affected the original colour differently.

PANTS
During year 5’s PSHE lesson this week, we recapped the PANTS rule and discussed behaviours that may be respectful/ disrespectful or something that depended on the context of the situation.
Play Leader Training
On Monday 10 of our year 5 children took part in play leader training along with several other schools. The children were excellent ambassadors for the school and have brought back lots of ideas and games to try out with the younger children in school.
Why do we have day and night?
Today year 5 were exploring how the Earth moves in space and how this affects both the seasons and why we have day and night.
Solar System
In Science we did an experiment using fruit to make a model scale of the solar system.
Art Technique
In art we have been trying out dabbing and stippling brush techniques
