Maths

Today Year 5 looked at the relationship between numbers. They manipulated dienes to make numbers, add on and take away. This helped concrete the concepts of how many ones are in ten, how many ones and tens are in a hundred and how many ones, tens and hundreds are in a thousand.
The children then looked at adding and subtracting numbers and could see that if they added ones they may need to exchange for a ten or exchange tens for a hundred and so on.
Have a look at how they did.
Good work Year 5.
