Kestrels had their last lesson in science today on the properties of materials. Miss Anderson gave the children 4 solutions and asked them if they could predict the easiest separation method. There were many in-depth scientific discussions had in the classroom.

Kestrels have been testing solutes to see if they dissolve.
They predicted whether coffee, salt, oil and sugar would dissolve and then proved whether their predictions were right or not.
Today’s Safer Internet Day was celebrated in all the classes today. In kestrels we watched the lesson and then created our own avatar for our chatbot vulture. The children came up with some excellent AI rules and some super pictures to represent their bird.

This half term, Kestrels have been learning how to play badminton.
This week, the children practiced their lunges in order to reach a shot.
They really have become excellent players of the game. Well done Kestrels!
Year 5 were using their instruments today to create the Prince of Bel Air music.
